England’s white-ball skipper Eoin Morgan said that he is uncertain about playing for England post-2022 T20 World Cup in Australia.

Morgan, who led England to the 2019 World Cup title, has played 246 ODIs and 107 T20 Internationals for the Three Lions.

Morgan will be leading England in the 2021 T20 World Cup in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

“I certainly see myself this time next year playing, hopefully, a really strong role in another T20 World Cup,” Morgan told BBC.

“That is the expectation I have put on myself. I am not sure about another two (tournaments). Obviously, results determine how well you do and how often you are kept on. But certainly, my hunger and determination are as strong as ever, he added.

Morgan recently led KKR to the final of IPL 2021 where they lost to MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings by 27 runs in Dubai.

Morgan is individually struggling with his batting performance as he could amass just 133 runs from 17 matches at an all-time low average of 11.08.

Morgan and his men ended as runners-up to West Indies in the 2016 World T20 final in Kolkata after Carlos Brathwaite pulled off a win with four blistering sixes to Ben Stokes in the final over.
