Former Pakistan pace bowler Wasim Akram hailed Indian batsman Suryakumar Yadav and called his batting fantastic.
Suryakumar Yadav had to wait for a long period to make the cut for India in the international arena. However, his persistency in IPL and India A tours forced the selectors to pick him for the England T20Is at home earlier this year.

Suryakumar fashionably started his career, as he opened his account with a six off England speedster Jofra Archer’s bowling in the third T20I in Ahmedabad.
The Mumbai batsman also made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka in July and bagged the player of the series award for scoring 124 from three innings.
Suryakumar Yadav has the ability to change the game: Wasim Akram
Wasim Akram was KKR’s bowling coach until 2017 has seen Suryakumar Yadav play there very closely.
The former Pakistan captain reckoned that Suryakumar Yadav can play a big role for India during the middle overs and wants the team management to allow him to play his natural game.
“I have seen this player, Suryakumar Yadav. I think he will change the game in those overs. That phase, after 6 overs, he has the ability to change the game. I have seen his shots. He was at KKR with us. Now he has improved as a cricketer,” Akram told India Today.
“His batting has been fantastic. He is playing safe shots, and he doesn’t stop after the powerplay. I think he has to be allowed to play the way he wants, play the way he has been playing over the last year and a half,” he added.
Suryakumar Yadav did not have a great time with the bat in IPL 2021, and apart from his 82 in the final league game against Sunrisers Hyderabad, there wasn’t much the Mumbai batter had to look in the season.
