IPL 2021: Dale Steyn Feels CSK Has The Edge In The Final Over The Luck Favored Kolkata Knight Riders

Former South African fast bowlers Dale Steyn has reckoned that luck cannot always favour a side, and Kolkata’s poor decisions might come to haunt them in the final. KKR managed to scrape past Delhi in the qualifier 2, which should have been a convincing win, and they almost found a way to lose from a strong winning position.

The middle order of KKR has looked fragile throughout the tournament, while the top order has scored the bulk of the runs. The youngsters in the top order have saved games for KKR, and there will be a time when the middle order starts to get exposed. They have bowled well at the same ground, and they have understood the conditions pretty well.

“KKR’s Luck Is Going To Catch Up To Them” – Dale Steyn

Dale Steyn mentioned that the playing with numbers might go right on 9 times, but at some point, the luck will end, and he has compared the numbers game to KKR’s current results. Despite Morgan and Dinesh Karthik’s poor form, they have been able to get through the games, and Steyn is confident of their fragility getting exposed.

“I kind of have always played numbers. It’s like going to a casino. If it lands on black 10 times in a row then at some point red’s going to hit. I just feel that at some point KKR’s luck is going to catch up to them. Bad decisions and lack of form of Morgan and DK that kind of stuff is going to catch up to them. It almost did tonight and it might happen at the worst time and that’s the final,” Dale Steyn.

Dale Steyn Feels CSK Have Looked The Calmer Sides Among Both Teams

Dale Steyn reckoned that CSK’s calmness will help them in the final and felt that things are going well for them at the moment. He pointed out Dhoni’s form peaking at right time, and the batsmen’s form looking good in the CSK line might give them a slight edge in the finals against KKR.

“CSK look good, really calm. They look like they kind of have got going up in the right direction at the right time. Dhoni looked good the other night, he’s captained his team well. Their batters are looking good… I just think that KKR might come against a better team in the final,” He added.
